Portabella mushrooms....
Well, the supermarket had portabella mushrooms in 8 oz. packs (3 shrooms)for $3.99 with a buy 1 get 2 free deal. "Shrooms", that's what we used to call the ones that made us silly years ago! Well, Vetter being a cheap SOB seen this as an opportunity to try his hand at "portabella burgers". I have eaten them several times "out for lunch" but never tried them on my grill. Whoa, toungue slapped our brains out! Toasted onion rolls, mushrooms brushed with olive oil, sauted garlic, oregano, basil, worschester sauce and I added "A-1 Bold and Spicy" steak sauce on mine. Marinated about 30 minutes and cooked pretty fast with swiss cheese melted at the last minute, topped with a fresh picked slice of tomato, Jewish pickle and hot cherry pepper slices, mummmm. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the fresh corn on the cob. Deeeeeelish! Vetter is going to make linguine and clams with portabella mushrooms stuffed with scallops, with a generous supply of garlic bread in a couple days, I can't wait!

I can't decide whether that sounds good this morning or not.

Good Food!
Mexican food is my all-time favorite! A close second would be "portabella" mushrooms with just about anything!..........................Dick
