I was price checking my local Cabela's on the 9mm ammo and spotted the boxes of Serria 115gr the large group of green boxes and 124gr JHP ammo the smaller group of a boxes, and was just curious how come they have a good supply of this particular brand.
![]() I'm glad I found this expansion test for both of the Serria 115gr and 124gr JHP ammo, sure will save me from buying this brand. https://youtu.be/R_07y9k4GRQ A different gel test using Sig V Crown 124gr and Remington Gold Saber 124gr https://youtu.be/HaieSmDoP1E I like Tennessee Outdoors test better, you be the judge. https://youtu.be/c8gm7ZTkDxc

One thing even a cheapskate like me knows better than to look for savings on is self defense ammo. I would not carry those if they were free!

Interesting videos J_B. I like the last one better too, partly because he was shooting through fabric before the bullet entered to the blocks. It appears that the ballistic gel media is different between the 2 testers. I have no idea of the significance of that.

Well..... I'd have more confidence in his Sierra Outdoor Master test if he hadn't already fired other bullets into the test media.

I kind of agree with you Teddybear. It should be based on one centered shot on each block of gel. No one seems to test that way except bullet makers, but it would sure be more conclusive.
