Lightning has struck again in Glacier National Park
The threat of a growing wildfire on the west side of Glacier National Park has prompted officials to evacuate the Lake McDonald Lodge, Avalanche Creek Campground and residences along North Lake McDonald Road.
The evacuation order includes all businesses and private residences within the Lake McDonald Lodge complex. Glacier National Park has established a Fire Information Line with updated recorded information at (406) 888-7077. http://www.hungryhorsenews.com/break...unds_evacuated Last edited by J_B; 08-13-2018 at 05:21 AM. |

Pipelines...
Jon, wildfires are always a problem during a drought, flooding is also a problem in areas wit abundant rainfall. Once again, Trump campaigned with a way to help unemployment was fix old and build new infrastructure. How about pipelines criss crossing the country for pumping water from flooded areas to dry areas? Great photo's too!

Recent reports now, that all but three cabins and historic structures in the Kelly's Camp area have been destroyed by the fire.

At least they have the lake close by to dip water from. Good luck to all in the area.

These wide-spread fires in the West and floods in the East are going to play havoc with everyone's insurance rates.

Fire update, my above post was through un-official sources. Since then fire fighters haven't confirmed the building count.
