Good morning. Coffee is on and aged less than 2 hours.

A squirrel is working on the dogwood outside the living room window. Doing a fine job of cleaning the fruit (drupes) off the tree. Watching the squirrel work and learning a new word is about all the excitement I can take.

Glad your brother is doing well, rman.

Y'all have a great day.

Good morning gang. It looks like it's going to be another hot one around here. Honey Bear and I are going grocery shopping this morning and get supplies for the weekend and next week. I've got my ride in about 7 this morning among all the crazy drivers. I need to start going earlier so I'll be out of their way!!

Give it a try Kansas. You just might like it.

rman, thanks for the report on Dave. Good to hear he's doing well. We will continue to pray for him. God is good.

Y'all have a good Friday.

Life is good.

Thumbs up

Howdy gang! Coffee please Molly. Great news about Dave's continued recovery. I think you said before he had the first on fixed he had four? Are the other two dangerous like this one? Prayers will continue and I'll thank the lord for his help! Kansas, I agree with with Teddybear, give it a try, I'm sure y'all will enjoy riding and you are plenty old enough to keep the speed within reason. The people texting are the biggest headache to riders. There are motorcycles everywhere down here riding year round. Most of the wrecks are young guys on crotch rockets showing off. They ride like I did when I was young and dumb. Greener, do you remember all that complaining last winter over that winter rye? Better to look out the window at brown grass than out mowing it! Everybody have a great day!

Good evening. It was a hot day - too hot for pulling weeds out of a big flower bed, but we did it anyway. That was after the always fun trip to Wally World for groceries. The weed pulling brought on a powerful thirst and led to an ice cold Bud Light in a frosty mug.

I talked to Dave's eldest daughter today and she said is looking better today and is pretty grumpy which means he is getting back to normal. The doctor said if all goes well in the next 24 hours they may remove the spinal drain. The surgeon is more optimistic today and thinks he might get to go home Monday or Tuesday, barring any problems.

Vetter, I don't know about the other ones that Dave talked about. He has had a number of small strokes over the last 2 years and he gets pretty confused at times. I'm hoping that this is all that need repair.

Again, thanks for the prayers gang!

Good morning all. Thanks for the coffee Dowop. The girls are making breakfast now. Molly is making me a fresh breakfast burrito.
Glad to hear about your brother Rman.
We've had a little heatwave here too. 90's everyday this week, but relief is coming next week.
We've had 2 Dr. visits for the Mrs this week, both kind of pointless, except it helps the Dr. pay for his new boat. I remember having a Dr. cry the blues to me one time about how much his medical insurance costs him and how he undercharges so many because he knows they can't afford much. He made it sound like he was just barely making ends meet, which I believed, until I saw him driving away in his new Porsche.
I have to go to Wally World after work today. I dread going there on the weekend. It's always crowded. There were a few brands of basic food items I used to pick up because they were cheap but good. No name brands, but good quality. I noticed that they are all gone now. All the choices they have now are higher priced. I can't remember the actual brand names now to complain about them being gone. Oh well.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Good morning. Thanks for the coffee & moon pies dowop. Molly I'll have a short stack with bacon and a moon pie to go.

Panther it has been hot and dry here, but we are supposed to have cool temperatures and rain starting tomorrow. I'm ready for it. It would help my finances if the air conditioner didn't run day and night. I know what you mean about Wally World. In our case, it seems every time we find something we like there, they decide to stop carrying it and substitute something we don't. They must be really efficient and crunching profit numbers on every single item, no matter how small.

Good afternoon gang! I could go for a cup of dowops well aged brew with a splash of Irish Cream to take the bite out of it. Great news on Dave, keep it up! Teddy, while you are watching Gunsmoke I'll be watching NASCAR a thon. Two races today! Panther, Wifey gets their brand chicken pot pies, they're better, bigger and much cheaper than Stoffer's. My mow man and son came, they put the decorative block fence back used his repaired tractor to cut the front and it died. His son was mowing the back with a push mower and I told him just take the mower back, poor kid was killing himself. The back is about 186' X 120 and hasn't been mowed in 3 weeks. He bought it last year from Sears. It's a Toro and they sure ain't made for commercial use. I told him to scream at them and demand a new one. It has a two year warranty. Sears used to be real good about returns, not sure about now with them going downhill. Well everybody have a great day!
