Good morning folks. Molly, coffee and a breakfast burrito please. Mild picante sauce too please. Thanks.
It's a nice morning. I walked the dogs at 6am and wondered why all my neighbors were still home today, then I remembered that it's Labor Day. I need to go to Wally World today. It'll be crowded. I usually like shopping on Monday, to avoid the crowds, oh well.
I hope you all enjoy your day too

Good morning. It is a pretty day out. I just took the little dog out for his morning duties and it feels cool so far. There is a nice breeze for a change. It's usually windy around here, but it has been unusually calm for Kansas the last couple of months. That isn't good for mowing or the mosquitoes. They are the worst I've ever seen them since the year we moved here - 2000.

Panther I sympathize with you over the dog "accident". Sooner or later it's going to happen if you have dogs. We have to make the journey to Wally World some time today also. I can hardly wait to see the 350 pounders with short shorts, tank tops and tattoos!

Howdy gang! Finally got logged on. I e-mailed Calvin for a tip and that worked to at least get me on for now. Greener the talking heads are reading a teleprompter and if they say get a battery operated sump pump and pump it into 5' of flood water. Rman and Panther enjoy all the 350 pounders with short shorts, tank tops and tattoos! We got em' here too. I have the cable company coming between 2 & 4 today to figure out why I'm only getting 15 and 10 Mbps of speed when I'm paying for 100 Mbps. I'm sure they'll figure it out. OK, good to be back before I made the MIA list!

Good morning. Molly I'd like a double order of biscuits & gravy, bacon and black coffee please. It's 62 degrees out this morning with a NW wind. Kind of feels like Fall. I'm going to take my little dog to the vet this morning to get his bordetella shot. My brother's second surgery is coming up in a couple of weeks and we will need to board him for a couple of nights. After I get back from that trip, I may or may not mow the lawn. The high today is only supposed to be in the 70's, so it would be a good day for the job. Now if I can just find the ambition...

Good morning. Waiting for the contractors. The painter was here for a couple hours yesterday. The deck lumber was delivered. The little fork truck they have on the back of the flat bed is a lot more versatile than the ones I've driven.

350 lbs in shorts and tank top? Was that you behind me, rman?

Getting the 20 minutes of craziness from the Richmond news. A guy is found dead from bullet wound beside a highway is not being investigated as a murder. No mention of gun found on or near him. $15/hour at McDonald's protest. Confederate statues in Charlottesville along with protests on how the City leadership didn't control the riot. Oh, and the first day of school at Atlee Middle School is being made more interesting by VDOT closing the main feeder street for scheduled maintenance.

Noticed the next hurricane track as gone from maybe hitting somewhere between Miami and Maine to Florida. Take care, Vetter.

Morning folks, how is everyone today? Molly, just coffee please, thanks.
We have a chance for rain today, then a few days of cooler temps. The forecast says we may get down to 48 tomorrow night. Turn off the a/c and open the windows!
I've got some errands to do, but mostly it's a laid back, casual kind of day. My favorite kind.
Have a good day today

Question Irma, go away!

Howdy gang! Coffee please Molly. All the news here is Hurricane Irma. This one is a bear. It's a catagory 5 and wind speed 175 MPH. We may be making a road trip. Current NOAA track shows it a direct hit on Key West yet our local weather guessers have it turning North and going right over us. I guess we could call that "fake weather". They sure try to scare the crap out of you. We're going to leave if it's going to hit here. Andrew was 175 and Katrina was 200 MPH. Too much for me to stay. J_B, I hope the wind calms down and stops the spreading fire. Well greener, sounds like you got my painter, good luck with the deck builders. Rman, I had to look up the bordetella shot, I never heard of it. I got my heart doctor visit today so he can start the tests. I should drop my good insurance so they would stop all these tests. No wonder health care is so expensive! Panther, you got the best weather today, good for you! Open windows, I can't remember when we were last opened up! Everybody have a great day!

Prayers sent for your brother, I remember you saying this would be more serious than the last.
Back from the Cardiologist who is doing a referral to a heart surgeon to possibly put in a pacemaker. He said my heart rate is slow and with the drugs for the surgery it could slow enough that it may put me to sleep. If they would only let me drive I could kick-start my heart with "Bad Booger's" throttle! Surgery is still on schedule for measure 9/12 and do the implant on the 18th if I don't need a pace-maker and if I do they gave me the paper work needed for the DMV for an extension of my DL if needed or it'll be "Drivin' Mr Vetter." This has turned into a pain in the butt.
