You do have it worse. It was a cool, comfortable 101 here yesterday. Our worst day was last Sunday. It was only 102, but the heat index was 120. It was like getting fried and steamed, all at the same time.

Question

Everything is big but dry, buggy, and won't ripen in this heat. Vine ripe stuff at the produce mart are very reasonable and darn good. I'm gonna ask Obama if he will pay me not to plant next year or grow pot. (Shhhh)

I have a lot of blackberry bushes. Most of them look good, but are producing very few blackberrys.

I think the chiggers ate all my Blackberries, now the Sun has fried them and the Ticks. Only thing left is the Grasshoppers, and they are eating anything that is still green.
