When I go fishing, I'm wearing shorts and sunglasses. I did that cold weather fishing when I was young. I'm to old to stand in freezing water. With the shore covered with snow and ice, I know I'd slip and fall in. Come on summer.

I'll go when the weather is cool, but I generally cover the boat between December and March down here in sunny Virginny. It's getting about (past?) time to get the boat ready and wet from the bottom.

I spent 20 years in Michigan. The fishing was great and you didn't have to go far to find a fishing hole or to change holes if you didn't like the one you chose. I fished from early spring to as late in the fall as weather permitted. I never got into this walk out on the water, cut a hole in the water and fish through that hole those folks did up there.

Young greener's idea of an afternoon of fun is to not only take a chainsaw and cut a hole in the water but to spend as much time under the water as possible.

seems like a waste of time. He didn't see any fish.

That looks interesting, greener. Young greener is a adventurer, isn't he.

The ocean is 20 feet from my living room and I don't fish. We got spoiled fishing the Keys waters years ago when the fishing was outta this world! The only time I wet a line now is when we visit my Mom in central Florida. She lives on a lake with great Bass fishing. She caught a 9lb 8oz off her dock!

I live a quarter mile from Perry Lake and I haven't been fishing since I moved here (2000) I think I'm going to do something about that this year. One bonus of being an old fart is you don't have to buy a fishing license anymore.

I got my old fart lifetime hunting and fishing license a couple of years ago and haven't used them. The only place I Hunt and Fish is on the Ranch, and I don't need them there.

I can't speak for Oklahoma, but when you turn 65 in Kansas you're home free! What is that for you, another 2-3 years?

Close. About 11 more years & I can join you guys.
Your mission, rman, if you decide to accept it will be to search & identify each & every fishing hole & hunting ground from Iowa to the Texas State Line.
From Missouri to 23 miles west of Salina will be good enough.
This message probably won't self destruct.
