Default Top down Miata

Just got to put the top down on my little green 99 Miata. First time in two years. So much fun. Didn't think I could do it with my long hair but a cap backwards worked. Poor little thing sat for a year and the tires are flat-spotted but little green car is back! Just had to share, nothing to see here folks, move along. HEE HEE!

British racing green? Hope you freshened the oil after two years.

This thread is useless without pictures.

My wife got interested in the Miata when they first came out. I liked the old British sports car with Nippon reliability too but I have this rule about the biggest, heaviest car I can get her to drive.

1999, that's the second generation isn't it? I'll add that to my search list, right after Cornhusker's & rman's S&W pistols.

Va-room, enjoy.

It's got sparklys in it so it's officially Emerald Mica, not British Racing Green, but I still call it BRG. What a happy little car. Gives you total feedback, completely controllable, you don't want to be too tidy when driving this car, you just want to fling her in the corners and then just f****ing deal with it; if the finish line is at the end of the straightaway, the Viper will win, if it's at the end of a corner, the Miata will win. Cars only go, stop and turn. Add Lightnesss. I can out stop you and outturn you; you'll beat me in a straight line. Deadly little car.

Neat car. Thanks for the pic. I share your enthusiasm for a sport car.

In my youth I was a serious car nut & a little convertible with room enough for the girl, a six pack & a pair of tennis shoes was all I needed.

Unfortunately practicality & a sore back make me appreciate a step-up driver's seat with a straight back & room for the dog now. Such is life.

Enjoy.

I haven't grown up. I still only need a girl, a six-pack and a pair of tennis shoes.

Sheesh, I think I even missed out on a first childhood. Always wanted to be able to buy one of those little Miata's for my great wife. Just never worked out.

I'm with BENE-- though. Bad back makes mini-pickups my transportation of choice.
