Default Camping Season

Camping season is starting. I have at least three trips for the summer. I am sure there will be more. Besides Calvin, Who else will be camping this season, and where. My trips will all be on the east end of Long Island. No long out of state trips this year.

Last night listened to the Coyotes, Hoot-owls, Whippoorwills, and all the night sounds. In the Daytime I have a Martin house that is full of Martins, a Wren has a nest in a box under my Camper window, Bluebirds has nests in a box in front of the Camper, and at the Garden. Life is Great Camping!

We don't camp much, a couple of times a year is about all we get in. A tent & a camp fire & I'm happy. Terry is more into camping at the Holiday Inn.

The Holiday really frowns on campfires. Don't ask me how I know.

Might could turn loose some ticks and chiggers in one then it would seem like the real thing. There's nothing I enjoy more than pulling a tick off and dropping it down on the carpet in Church on Sunday and then watch all the people setting close start scratching. Wonder why no one sets close to me on Sunday Morning?

We were setting outside at the Camper last night, and about dark I thought it was late for the Buzzards to be circling around, then realized it was Mosquitoes.

Wow! Sounds like some of our Kansas skeeters - some of ours are so big they can stand flat-footed and breed a turkey!
