Lyman Great Plains Rifle .54 cal with Hickock45 part 1 and 2
This is the same muzzleloader I have, the Lyman Great Plains Rifle .54 cal - as Hickock45 demonstrates using real Goex black powder in Part 1 and 2

If Hickok45 likes them, I like them. The only muzzle loader I have owned was a Traditions .45 caliber percussion rifle. It wasn't nearly as nice as the Lyman, but it shot well. I shot one whitetail with it and it was a clean, one-shot kill.

Is yours one of the long rifle percussions by Traditions? I have thought about buying one in 45 cal to use at our monthly shoots, as well as rendezvous.

Hope you have a Model 29 tucked in your belt for "just in case".
