Default Times were rough then, even rougher if you were a criminal.

Sept 30, 1865 The Montana Post reported more Vigilante activity near Virginia City: "On Wednesday morning, two men were found hanging from a hay frame leaning over a corral of the slaughter house up the gulch. On the back of one of them named John Morgan was the notice of the Vigilantes, Road Agents Beware." Theft and horse stealing were the crimes the men were accused of. The law had not yet forced the Vigilantes to disband.
