Well guys, we're never too old to learn! Just had two squirrels in my feeder and went out after them. One took off for the woods and the other went up the tree. Very elusive and tough to bring down. Actually emptied the gun on him. He was still moving so I hit him in the head with the muzzle of my empty gun and "BROKE" my stock. First stock I have ever busted in my life after repairing many other peoples broken stocks. Unfortunately, it is not repairable so am needing one. Local gunshop has one so will be heading that way soon! As a gunsmith, I should know better but I have never seen a 10-22 stock break so easily. It's been on the gun since 1967 so the wood may have become brittle. (dried out) I rarely empty the gun on "one" squirrel but I will be carrying that extra magazine with me from now on!.....................Dick
