Ruger SR1911 CMD 9mm (Part III)
I took this Ruger to the range again on the day we had the closet fiasco. I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing about this 1911, so I'll keep it short. I shot another hundred rounds thru it, and again, no failures of any kind. The first 50 were some Sellier & Bellot 115 gr FMJ rounds that I've had around here for a long time. They shot really well. I've never tried 147 gr. ammo in a 9mm, so I picked up a box of Aguila 147 gr. FMJ-FP ammo. I was surprised to find it really shoots well. If you like 1911's and .45's seem like a little too much any more, this makes a fine range and carry pistol. Ruger also makes an Officer's Model in 9mm that would conceal even easier. In the right holster, this one conceals nicely.
The group pictured below is 30 rounds of Aguila 147 gr. ammo at 7 yards.
