Sierra "Seconds" Bullets

I think I told you a while back that I bought some of these when we toured the Sierra plant. Last week I loaded up 50 of the 55 gr SBT bullets over 24.0 gr of IMR 8208 XBR, TulAmmo SRM primers and in Federal brass. We took them to the range Friday and tried them in the Mossberg MVP and the RRA AR15. Tristan shot a 5 shot 100 yard group of .565" in the MVP. They didn't do bad in the Rock River either - 5 shots in .75" Those are probably the best groups we've managed with the Russian primers. Maybe I'll get some use out of them after all.

P.S. Hodgdon power has been readily available around here. I stopped at the local gun shop Saturday and guess what? No rifle powder suitable for anything other than .50 BMG. It seems to be getting worse instead of better around here.

Good groups rman.
I haven't tried to find any reloding supplies lately. I am pretty stocked up and haven't had much time to shoot anyway.

I'm in great shape on brass, bullets and powder. Rifle primers, on the other hand, are in short supply around my place. I really don't need any powder, but would have bought some if it was available.

Its probably a good idea to buy supplies whenever you can.

I was told the powder was going to be hard to get a few weeks ago. I guess the guy was right.
