Camping and Hiking in Bear Country
Okay you set out for your hike.. as you progress up the trail, somehow you got distracted and were watching your feet, you look up.
This is an aggressive bear, the ears are back, and the head is down and you have just seconds to either draw bear spray, or your firearm as you now back up and try and keep yourself from stumbling backwards. https://i.postimg.cc/R0hCVPLj/Aggres...Approaches.jpg |

Obviously, the guy who took this picture is behind the hiker. He is the smart one. In all likelihood, the other hiker will get eaten by the bear, while the photographer makes a hasty retreat. :D

Sadly, many carry their bear spray in their backpacks where it does them no good. But for myself I do not have a faith in bear spray, and this is why I don't have faith in bear spray, this was just one instance with a black bear.

I'm a firm believer in lead spray J_B! Thankfully there are no bears in my woods.
