Hows yours doing?

Ours is finished also, in fact several weeks ago..We only planted several types of tomatoes and they only did fair..Not as good as last year..

Friends of ours who live a little east of us and winter in Florida , plant much more say they didn't do too good this year either so I guess it wasn't me as much as the summer climate..
Well as we say in the northern Ohio area, "wait till next year"--:laugh4:

Teddy, mine is about done. I planted Turnips, and due to Drought, or bad seed, they didn't come up. Squash and Okra are all I getting now.

Ours is doing great. We pick fresh vine ripened tomatoes and peppers at the flea market every Saturday. No digging or weeding either.

Our maters is about done for this year. How's y'all's doin?

Teddybear 08-14-2018 12:29 PM

Looks like an early harvest around here. The corn is starting dry.

I don't have a garden Teddy, but I've noticed the sweet corn supply has about dried up at the farmers' market. They still have tomatoes, but they are getting smaller. I usually buy tomatoes from one of two different people who have gardens in North Topeka. They live side by side. Sometimes one of them has them for sale - other times they both do. I notice they are getting smaller too, but darn they're good! I'm sure going to hate to see them go. We eat a lot of BLT'S or sliced tomatoes in mid to late summer.
